Together these form an advanced, modern shared hosting and server automation platform. The Atomia Platform provides all the administration and end-user tools for shared hosting, domain, and DNS providers to offer their end users a state-of-the-art hosting experience.

Atomia Admin Panel

Sometimes referred to as: Atomia Admin, Admin Panel, Billing Panel

Atomia Automation Server

Sometimes referred to as: Automation Engine

Type: Product

Description: A server application that orchestrates and manages all the provisioning that is carried out in Atomia. The typical scenario is that Atomia Billing Server asks Automation Server to provision a service. The Automation Server then has the knowledge of exactly what needs to be provisioned, and where. The Automation Server is in itself very generic, but can be extended by modules for all provisioning needs. It has a very extensive API and SDK.

Atomia Billing Server

Sometimes referred to as: Atomia Billing

Type: Product

Description: The system that manages all customer and billing data, such as orders, invoicing, payment processing, and subscription handling. It also takes care of the complex task of what to do and at what times during the customer lifecycle. This is called a workflow. The workflows defines how you pay an invoice, when you need to pay it, if you can access services before an invoice is paid, or if you have to pay the invoice to enable services. This is one of the concepts that makes Atomia very flexible. Atomia Billing Server as a system contains several parts, such as the database, the API you interact with, and the workflow engine.

Atomia Order Website

Sometimes referred to as: Atomia Store, Order Page

Type: Client

Description: A web application for ordering products and services via the Atomia platform. It’s often used connected to the public website, and is the place where the actual ordering of services takes place and where customer and billing details are provided. This data is then used to create an account in Atomia.

This is where you manage shared hosting, domains, DNS, email, and VPS, but also where you pay and view invoices, order services and register domains. It acts as an API client of Atomia Automation Server and Atomia Billing.
